A REC – Gives a warm welcome to Zed White with his debut release on the label.
Zed White is an artist who has certainly been making a presence on the progressive circuit as well as the more diverse. Under his previous moniker of – Daz Bailey, he shot up the ranks with a number of prevalent originals and remix projects that gained a lot of key support including radio 1 features.
From 2016 he switched to his new creative progressive output under the current name of Zed White,
continued in unique style on labels such as Bonzai Records, Perfecto Records, Pro B Tech, Plethora Musik, Tactal Hots, Twisted Recordings, DeepDownDirty and his own launched Prog Records.
Collaborations and remixes have been a continued theme to his developing career, including remix work for Blue Amazon and collaborating with Kiz Patterson & Maxim Vosizov.
One of the reasons we love Zed White is his ability to consistently deliver high-quality music with drive, a varied touch, electronic sculpture and this something that’s very evident on this release.
The original of No Division really crosses an energetic approach of modern progressive House; it’s full of energy, moody transients and features a cool arpeggiator that’s very reminiscent of the like of – Speedy J to the legendary spooky.
The 2nd remix is by the excellent – Mal Black – who has been one of the most consistent artists of late, his originals and remixes on our brother label “Radiate” have really set a unique and darker tech-driven tone.
This mix continues in Mal Black’s sonic identity, purposeful intent and deep infectious qualities.
Remix 3 – Sees the return of Hall North to AREC in a quite quick succession after his no 1 release titled – Notra Dame / Restoration. Whilst his previous single is still resonating in the digital domain, he’s treated us to another quality-driven production. This mix is full of deep mood, heavier percussion and cool embedded grooved fx.
